HK Trip

Hi! I know I have not blogged for ages. I don't know why but I seemed to have lost the motivation and feeling to update this space. But since today is Xmas Eve, I decided I want to do something meaningful (blogging) HAHA! I have lots of stuff going on with my life recently, the biggest two being that I've travelled alone to HK and BKK!  (Top photo: my beloved foursies BFFs sending me off at airport! they kept asking me to take care, how sweet!!! and they came at like 5am to send me off!)

On board the plane (: seriously mixed feelings.. because its pretty scary to be alone and also pretty exciting at the same time!! But I feel more scared than excited as this is the first time i'm alone!

LETS TAKE THE BUS!

My first stop! Lian Xiang for lunch. Done my homework and decided to try this instead of the famous Tim Ho Wan.. because I can eat THW in SG anyway!

Seriously I didn't expect I'm going to get a culture shock the moment I step in this restaurant. The waiters and waitress just ignores you, and there are TONS of people eating! Theres no space to walk. Towing my luggage in I feel so "zhor deng" (blocking way) . I asked a waiter where I should sit, he said, just pick a empty table and sit down. I'm like wdf! With 10 other strangers eating on same table?!!! Ok so I did as told.

And then people start washing their tea cups and their chopsticks in tea. WEIRD!! Its part of their culture. And you have this paper whereby they would "chop" to indicate what you order. Seriously theres no menu and they just go around in carts and you order what you want. I don't even know the cost of the dimsum I ate. -___-

Head to my hotel for check-in and super surprised they upgraded my room!!!

So big and I'm sleeping alone. HAHA.

Bought snacks and drinks at the local grocery store and seriously the beer is so cheap its like 80 cents each because I bought a carton!!! LOL!! Omg. Is this what you call - Overkill?

LKF at night!!! This is a famous party area that I was so excited to visit! But quite disappointed because I went on a Thursday it was so empty and boring!!! ):

Anyhow pick a bar and order Mojito and Long Island. Surprisingly I don't know why after 4 cups I'm sooooo drunk, is it because I never drank in the cold weather before?! (It was like 13 degrees!)

Next day went out to explore! Wanted to see the city, and find interesting food!

Their traffic light takes forever to light up for pedestrians and its sooooooo far walk across!

Took the picture above because I waited about 5 minutes for this traffic light and a lot of people were crowding around the junction waiting for the light as well -___-! SO LONG RIGHT.

BIG FAT JUICY CHAR SIEW RICE!! Very nice! But somehow they don't put gravy on their char siew rice. Don't know why.

Cheap cheap noodles.

Pretty Xmas deco in a mall (:

HAHA i look drunk in this photo but seriously i'm 100% sober.

This is the "Nu Ren Jie" - Ladies Street. But seriously theres nothing much to buy here except for souvenirs and the owners like to jack up prices.. and I don't bargain usually.

ABOVE: Noodles in plastic! I saw some girls eating it and thought it looked cool! So I went to buy it! Its very cool, you get to choose what kinda noodle you want, and pick all the ingredients you would like to have it with. Its cold noodles, and they add sauces in it! VERY AWESOME!!! But salty tho. Hahaha!

LETS GO!!! One of my favourite place in HK. Definitely will come back here again!

HEHE pictures of all the stars that I like!!

Back to hotel to finish my Cass beer. LOL!

Next day super hang over but still went Disneyland!!! This is the part of the trip I looked most forward to!

Their trains is so cool they have mickey mouse windows and mickey mouse handles and special cushioned sofa seats!!!

Check out the seat... posh or what! LOVE

DISNEYLAND!!! SUPER HAPPY.

Didn't eat lunch so I bought nachos, didnt want to eat too heavy in case I sit the rides and puke. Overpriced seriously but its okay because its Disneyland! HAHA

SAY HI TO ME~ HAHA.

Love the Disney parade! Seriously a lot of people was crowding around and I couldn't get a decent photo, but I tiptoed and tried anyway! (And around me theres a PRC arguing with a Hongkie about pushing while taking these photos)

DISNEY PRINCESSES ALL IN ONE SWAN CARRIAGE. BEAUTIFUL OR WHAT?!

My favourite~ TINKERBELL. She does a dance that really resembles tinkerbell, haughty and cute :D

So BORED to Q for rides! I q nearly one hour for the umbrella ride below -___- waste time!

CAMHO while waiting!

They give you these gloves so you can eat finger food without getting dirty. HOW CONSIDERATE.

Whole trip just eat only.

This is my favourite part of Disneyland... because it seems so jungle-like!! And by the by, I got wet taking the above photo because I wanted the water effect!!! Hahaha!

TARZAN HOUSE. Can I live there?!

Took the above rollercoaster, about bears and its pretty fun!

STEAMY.

Didn't stay to watch this performance as its reaching evening soon.

Aboard the raft to head to Tarzan's House!

NO Q FOR TEACUP RIDE AT NIGHT!!! YAY!!! In the noon the Q was so crazy its almost 2 hours wait!
So the trick is to wait until evening to try those long Q rides, while in the noon you play those short rides!

The above ride is quite fun because you sit inside this cart which will move around and you shoot at targets with a gun for scores!

I bought the below - PIZZA CONE! So shiok to eat this in cold weather! I chose the curry flavour! TOO GOOD!! Must try! However this cost about $6 sgd.

Seriously most lovely fireworks I've ever seen :') Definitely coming back again just to catch it!!!

ITS SNOWING!!!! Hahaha.

Dinner at Tsim Sha Tsui and opposite me is a pub, I took the pictures because it was freezing cold and the pub is so full and yet people still kept going in until theres no space, they ordered drinks and stand at the roadside to drink! CRAZY OR WHAT?! So weird right. In Singapore you wouldnt see people squeeze until like that. If a pub is full we just hop to another one, especially if its freezing I don't want to stand outside!!

Supper - microwaved hargow from 7-11! COOL! Taste not bad also!

Last night of my HK trip - at 3am I walked to Avenue of Stars...because I simply don't want to go home.
It was freezing cold and I just want to look at the sea view and enjoy HK a little bit longer!

Breakfast for my last day~ at a good dimsum restaurant located in a hotel!

The custard bun so good, but I was so full to eat more!

So this ends my HK trip. I'm gonna blog about my BKK trip soon, which I had 1 week stay there! It was crazy and fun... if I were to compare both trips, I can't decide which one I love better! Anyway, Merry Christmas Eve!
