Taiwan 2015

My first ever Taiwan trip.
Lol must be a suaku because so many people went already.
Always been wanting to go, finally my AL is here!

Main things I would like to cover in my TW trip:

1. Visit Jay Chou restaurant
2. Visit Night Market
3. Visit Hot Spring
4. Visit Shifen to fang tian deng (release sky lanterns)
5. Visit Taiwan nightlife
6. Stay in a themed hotel

Which basically I did everything except releasing Sky lanterns because it was raining.
Terribly sad, however we still made it to jiufen to eat and sightsee.

First thing we did when we touched down from airport was to check out 7-11.
(Is that a typical Singaporean thing?)

Check out the variety of milk!

They have loklok in the 7-11.. just like BKK and HK.
Why our 7-11 don't have?!
(another Singaporean thing to do is to compare 7-11s overseas)

So first stop: Jay Chou restaurant (Mr J Restaurant)

Located in a TMU (Taiwan Medical Uni) , when we reached
it was already drizzling and 15 degrees.

Which was so crazy because my luggage is full of summer clothes
and the weather report said its gona be 21-25 degrees!
 (Never ever trust weather reports)

The menu! Classic illustration of Jay Chou on the cover.
Its mostly Italian food, however the standard of the food is about average.
Nothing really fantastic.

The food is affordable. Comes with a set option.

I took the king prawns with garlic and spaghetti.

We had a platter and the boy took baked risotto but I forgot to upload the pic. Lol

After dessert, we walked around the restaurant.

Took pics with the displays in the restaurant.

The restaurant is based on the theme "Bu Neng Shuo De Mi Mi - Secret"
Which was one of the movies Jay Chou starred and directed in.
And one of my fave movies!! Other than Initial D of course.

I think our posing sibei fake hahaha.

Poor Xiaoyu :'( Wish the ending could be better...

We took a walk to Taipei 101 since its nearby.
Didn't go up because the tix is so pricey.
I think this kind of high high towers cheat money one.
Just like Macau Tower and Singapore Flyer.
See 1 time don't want to see already. I rather keep $20 buy more Tai Yang Bing.

TW beer at 7-11 to chill on before our good night's sleep.

2nd Day. Woke up early to have breakfast and head to Jiufen!

The rain has made the weather cold and I was forced to purchase winter wear ):
Walked around Ximending before heading towards our destination.

Must try Ah Zhong Mee Sua in Taipei!
Many people said it is a very overrated meesua but I beg to differ.
The noodles is very smooth and the soup has just the right taste!
The garlic chilli also is DA BOMB. OMG. I want one now!
It is so good I even went back on my last day to have it before I leave.

Theres no tables for you to eat at.
But the meesua is so good I don't mind sitting on stools just for it.

Taking train to Jiufen!

What a waste that it was raining, if not we could have went to shifen.

It may not seem like it but I'm actually wearing two thick layers of knitted wool.

Train tracks are so chio to selfie with. Hahaha

Sadly not much photos of Jiufen because I was in poncho and it was raining heavily.
Difficult to take my camera out to snap.
However I managed to get these cute pics of them eating!
(but nobody took mine. T_T)

Lunched at some restaurant but food was average.

Really hate smelly tofu and this soup reeks of it.

These fried buns are really good! (Shui Jian Bao)

Headed for steamboat near our hotel at Ximending.
The steamboat is marvellous!! It has freeflow haagan daaz and movenpick icecream!
HOW CAN WE RESIST.

And very yummy and fresh beef.

Oh come to me Angus beef!

Day 3: Beitou hotspring!

Sent Xenn to a cab as shes returning one day earlier back to SG.
We packed our bags and left it at our hotel : Sato Castle.

Before that some last min shopping at Ximending!

Ah Mao the dog cafe.

Saw a chio SLK 2 (the boy's dream car)

Check out the bumper - SPICY GIRLS ONLY! Hahaha

View of our hotel.

Close up. Nearby theres Miramar mall which we didn't visit as we don't have enough time.

Look like a guard anot?

I love the jacuzzi the most.

You can turn off the lights and the water will have jets and light beams.
You can watch tv while your having ur soak.
(They have X rated channels openly for you to watch too.. Hahahah)

Took the train to Beitou station to change trains to Xin Beitou.

They have special hotspring trains!

 Cute huh?

Took a really long walk to visit the thermal valley, otherwise known as Hell's Valley.

Just a big valley with a pool of sulphuric hot liquid.

Got no makeup on X_x

After the thermal valley, we took a long walk to Little Marshal for our hot soak.

We climbed and climbed the hill, even thinking of giving up and just going other resorts,
but finally we reached the place! Just check out the view.
It's worth the climb :')

Aww poor exhausted boy.

It's a very serene little resort resting at the top of the hill.

The above photo reminds me of someone from school.
Just had to take a picture of it...

Our private bath room at $1500 NTD.

Artistic shot taken by me.

At night we visited Shilin Night Market and also Ningxia Night Market.

I LOVE THE BEEF CUBESSSS. They just melt in your mouth!

Who knew you could fry milk?

The very famous Ru Rou Fan which I think is normal.

Maybe because my mom cooks better Ru Rou Fan.

Xiao chang bao da chang (small sausage wrapped in big sausage).. which I didn't try .

Prawning at Ningxia. Lol... it is tough trying to hook 'em with chopsticks.

After dinner we headed down to Ez 5 for some live band music and drinks.

Next day breakkie. Not fantastic.

My love of my life! Tai Yang Bing!

Bento for dinner before I touchdown Singapore.
Thats all folks.. till next time Taiwan! xoxo
