A very outdated Taipei Trip in December 2015

Hello guys! Here to blog about this really outdated trip back in Dec 2015.
Totally forgot to blog about this because it was pretty impromptu,
and when I was back in SG I was busy working and stuff.

Anyhoo! Was glad to meet up with a ex colleague and also catch up
with my fellow batchie on the plane on the way to TPE!
(still think its hilarious that we tried to do the toothache pose)

Stayed in the Xi Men Ding district, which is awesome because of
all the access to the awesome food around the area!!
And of course not to be missed, the love of my life,
AH ZHONG MEE SUA!

Ah, how I missed you so. I could endure a 4 hour trip to TPE just for this.

Had this famous collagen steamboat at Wu Lao Guo.
Their service is impeccable! Everytime they serve us,
they would bow really low. Until we had to tell them to stop,
because it got really awkward lol.

First time trying karaoke at TPE.
Its SO AWESOME! They even have a toilet in their suites,
and its super cheap! Their system is waaaayyy better,
and they even have a disco stage. Lol.
I could practically LIVE inside there if SG has similar ones.

Next day, headed for breakfast.

Some local food and their much raved about Ru rou fan,
which I think is meh compared to my Mum's.

It was pretty late but we headed down to Shifen to release sky lanterns.
Something that I have always wanted to do!

On the long-ass train ride.

Oh, the awesome chilly weather,
and lovely countryside air at Shifen!

So you are supposed to write your wishes onto the lanterns,
and let it float to the sky for God to see or something like that.
I hope he didn't miss my lantern ):

Awkward mandatory pose with lantern.

Xenn's lantern. (Lots of $$$$$$$$$$$)

And this is our group lantern!
The "3 GIRLS 250 YUAN" is an inside joke. Lol

Time to release it!

I must say, the lady who took the picturse for us is really professional.
She squat, stood, went different angles just for the shots,
and even told us how to pose and blah blah. Like a real pro!

Went to a stamp shop for some souvenirs.

Spotted this cute dog at a local 7-11.
We were chilling there having TW beers,
and the owner was so friendly! He just chat with us there.
Really different kind of attitude people have in Taiwan.

Had this famous beef noodle soup raved by locals.
It was pretty normal for me, I think I prefer Thailand's though.

Last meal at Taoyuan airport before heading back.
I miss you Taipei!
Will be back soon for the awesome hot springs when its winter :D
